Zee Tamil APAC proudly launches its first-ever Short Film Competition- ZEE REEL. This is an exciting opportunity for aspiring filmmakers from Singapore and Malaysia to show case their talent on a global television platform which will take them one step closer in achieving their dream of becoming a film maker. The top 8 movies from the competition will be aired on Zee Tamil APAC channel and thereby taking their stories beyond screens, to our audience directly.

Not only a global platform, the participants of ZEE REEL also have the following exclusives:

• Workshop
  Short film workshop conducted by renowned filmmaker and International Panel of Jury.
• Exposure on Zee Tamil

Top 8 short films will be aired on Zee Tamil APAC channel.

AL Vijay is a critically acclaimed director. His movie Deiva Thirugmagal won Best Picture Award in Grand Prix and was nominated for FilmFare Awards.

Tamil Dasan is the programming head of Zee Tamil & Deputy Business head of Zee thirai. With a versatile programming head, Zee Tamil has reached an all-time high of 700+ grp from 70 grps. History was rewritten when Zee Tamil fiction gained leadership in the prime-time fiction beating all channels in Tamil Nadu.

 Vimala Perumalis a director and cinematographer. Her film, Vedigundu Pasangge, was first even Malaysian Tamil Movie to surpass 1 million collection and won Best Film Award in the Norway Tamil Film Festival.

Rajagopal Kan award-winning writer and director. He has won the Singapore International Film Festival’s Special Jury Prize for 3 consecutive years.

Yahssir Mis a writer, director and executive producer. He was the finalist winner at the New York Festival World’s Best TV & Films and the National Award at the Asian Academy Award.
