On the 20th of Feb 2021, it was a day to be remembered as 5 MKAC beneficiaries received our 4th disbursement from our Guest of Honour – Dr Bibi Jan Binte Md Ayub.

The charismatic Dr Bibi Jan opened the interactive dialogue session by sharing her stories of going through hardships when she was a young girl – born into a poor family having very little means to live and survive while growing up. After having married to the love of her life, Mr Yasin Hamid and travelling around the world to 3rd world countries to assist with Humanitarian projects, Almarhum Mr Yasin Hamid passed away in September 2019 which we at MKAC organised a special tahlil for him with the prayers of all MKAC beneficiaries present during that evening led by Ustaz Nuzhan Halim.

When Dr Bibi Jan opened the floor for discussion, we invited Mdm Safia to share her dialysis journey. Mdm Safia broke into tears as she mentioned that she blacked out at home in the middle of the night only to realise she was admitted to CGH the morning after. She felt so worried and scared that she was going to die, and was so unsure if she had done enough good deeds before leaving this world.

Dr Bibijan assured her by saying, “ I’m so proud of you Mdm Safia. You are a true Muslim, and we should never feel we have done enough kindness in this world.”

After the emotional session, we invited Dr Bibi Jan to receive a specially engraved MKAC Medallion with her name on it.

Thank you dearest Dr Bibi Jan for spreading love and comfort to our kidney patients, they surely took inspiration from your heartfelt encouragements and we hope to see you again in the near future.

If you feel the work by MKAC is worthy of your support, your donations will be most welcome. You may contribute through the following methods viz:

(1) PayNow: UEN#T04SS0068D

(2) Bank Transfer: DBS Acct. no. 029-901280-0.

(3) By cheque to “Muslim Kidney Action Association”, 122 Telok Kurau Rd, Singapore 423806

Thank you from the bottom of our hrts. Every dollar will be gratefully received and duly acknowledged.
